

They decided to work together to provide an open, safe space to bridge the gap where many people now find themselves. It's a limbo state where people desire to jumpstart positive change but they don't know how to start.
Since there are very few places to explore honest questions about race and cultures, Brian and Judy, developed MIDPOINT CONNECT. Soon four other members joined and over the past two years, they've talked and listened to each other and included middle school students from the Jewish and Black communities. The trust that has been forged has convinced them that this model is one that will be beneficial across many diverse groups.

Rabbi Judy Greenfeld realized something profound while explaining the horrifying facts of the public murder of George Floyd to her youngest community members: She had no Black friends to advise her on how to be an activist alongside them.
Although she personally understood the problem of anti-semitism, she didn't know how to find out about the concealed cultural stories of Black Americans. In order to find out more, Rabbi Judy contacted a friend from college, Brian Stevenson, with whom she'd lost touch over the years.
